The Lambda Chapter was chartered at the University of Chicago in 1921 by seven dynamic women, including two of our beloved Founders: Osceola McCarthy Adams and Marguerite Young Alexander. These women saw the need for sisterhood, scholarship, and service and stepped out on faith, becoming permanent pillars of the community.

 

This year we will strive to continue building upon the giant legacy of work and service that the current Chapter stands upon. Through our continued community service and devotion to academic excellence, we embody the core principles that our sisterhood was founded on.
